Rector – firstname.lastname@example.org
Born in Manchester, Rob came to faith through Cheadle Church as an 18 year old, and after Uni, he taught Maths and PE in Hazel Grove. He trained for the ministry at Oak Hill, and served a curacy at Hartford, then as Rector of Davenham before following God’s call to return to Cheadle. He is married to Sarah, with three children and a dog!
Stan and Anna and their two sons joined us at St Mary’s in Sept 2016 from Hailsham, where he has had experience of being a vicar, rural dean, acting archdeacon and associate minister, which has been far more of an adventure than his first job working for the DHSS.
Yorkshire born and proud of it. He became a Christian at age 11 whilst a choirboy. Fell in love with theology as an undergraduate, then a teacher and ordination followed seven years later. He has served four different parishes, a theological college and the local diocese. He is married to Brenda who also is ordained and a hospital chaplain. They have two married daughters.
Associate Minister (St. Cuthberts)
The longest serving of our team, Mike has been Associate Minster at St Cuthbert’s for 19 years. He is also a chaplain to the TA.
Steve has been part of St Mary’s since his teenage years, and this is his second stint as warden. Steve is a solicitor, married to Jan with 3 grown-up children.
Anthony has lived in Cheadle since 2002, came to faith in his early 20s and has a passion for seeing “ordinary” church folk exploring and developing new ministries that lead people to Christ and disciple them to maturity. He is married with three children and in his spare time enjoys snowboarding, reading and learning to play the banjo!
Upper Room Cafe Manager
Born in Aberdeen, Susannah moved to Manchester in 1996 to study at Salford University. She came to faith as a child and has always had a desire to serve God particularly in the area of food & hospitality. She managed a community café in Levenshulme for 4 years and has led the team at The Upper Room Cafe since September 2017. Susannah is married to Matthew and lives in Longsight.
Jon has been at St Mary’s for 10 years, he is married to Ali, and ran his own plumbing business before serving the church.
Luke met Jesus as a teenager in the youthwork here at St Mary’s before going to University in Newcastle. He worked with UCCF as a Relay Worker for students in the North East, before returning home to become our Youth Worker in 2016. He’s now our Youth Pastor, responsible for reaching out to teenagers with the gospel and helping our faithful youth follow Jesus, as well as being involved in leading Sound (the North West Partnership’s events for 14-18’s). Luke is married to Emma, who thinks he wears hats too much.
