Stan and Anna and their two sons joined us at St Mary’s in Sept 2016 from Hailsham, where he has had experience of being a vicar, rural dean, acting archdeacon and associate minister, which has been far more of an adventure than his first job working for the DHSS.
Born at Stepping Hill, Ian grew up in Stockport, then Knutsford, via four years in France! He heard the gospel at 8 years old and believed it at 16. He is also deeply involved providing pastoral services to people in outlaw motorcycle clubs, something he has been doing for the past 30 years. Howie loves single malt, craft beer, building custom motorcycles, riding his motorcycles, lifting heavy things, cows, sheep, border collies, being out in the countryside and hanging out with people in dingy bars and night clubs and sharing Jesus with them. He has had an eclectic range of jobs, ranging from farming, night club bouncer through to managing drug and alcohol services. He has recently become a trustee of WALK ministries a charity that works with former prisoners and addicts, helping them deepen their faith, deal with their past and find community.

Hey I'm Becki and I work as a cafe supervisor in the Upper Room Cafe. You may also see me on the welcome at the 9.30 service with my daughters and husband now and then. When I'm not there I enjoy going to the cinema and our pets, 2 Guinea pigs and 2 kittens keep us busy too! I've been a member of St Marys for around 6 years and have made some great friends of all ages!
Andy joined the team in 2018. I have been a Christian for more years than he can remember being brought up in a Christian home. I am married to Fiona. We have 2 adult children and don’t have any pets. I volunteered in the café for a short while before joining the staff team. Before these halcyon days I worked in IT, mainly in the financial services sector. I gained a politics degree in Newcastle and stayed for a year in the northeast doing voluntary work before returning home and joining St Marys and the then TwentyPlus group where I met Fiona. I enjoy a bottle of wine, going for a walk, or a bike ride. All these things are best shared with others, usually with Fiona of course, as well as various friends.
Rosie is our latest member of the team, she joined the Cafe staff in October 2020.
John and Tracy are our ace team behind the scenes who keep the Upper Room building and Cafe sparkling clean.
John has been with the church for a number of years, Tracy joined a few years ago.
